The police
department specially trains select personnel to become our evidence
technicians. Our evidence technicians are full-time officers and
have an interest in crime scene processing.
We normally
have three or four officers specially trained as our Evidence
Technicians. These officers are available to respond to the
police department to process crime scenes for our major crimes.
Their training includes the WI State Crime Lab one week school or
Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety two-week Evidence
Technician training.
