High Risk and Apprehension Team

The Department has been serving search warrants for  years.  In 2005 we decided to provide our officers with training and equipment to serve the search warrants more safely.  We worked with the officers’ union and town board to develop a program that will benefit the Town and keep our officers safe.  Part of our goal was to purchase equipment for an eight member tactical team without a cost to the taxpayer. 

The department received donations from a number of businesses throughout the Town of Madison.  Using these funds the department was able to purchase necessary equipment and train our officers to safely serve the warrants.
