Details of Incident:

On November 7, 2006 a town of Madison detective was off-duty traveling west bound on the W. Beltline Hwy in the town of Madison. This detective observed a vehicle approaching him from behind at a high rate of speed and observed the vehicle tailgating him and driving aggressively.

The detective called an on-duty patrol officer via the direct connect feature on their cellular telephones. The on-duty officer stopped the vehicle for the traffic violations. The driver, Bennett, had a valid warrant for his arrest and was arrested. During a search incident to arrest marijuana was located on Bennett and his vehicle was searched. Located in the vehicle was 256.59 grams (.57 lbs) of marijuana. Bennett was booked into the Dane County Jail for possession with intent to deliver THC.
