Details of Incident:

On April 23, 2006 at 12:24 pm Town of Madison officers were dispatched to the Fiedler Lane area reference a shooting. Officers were initially told this was a drive-by shooting. The investigation has indicated this was not a drive-by shooting. One suspect targeted a specific person and fired an unknown number of rounds then entered a vehicle and fled the scene. We do not believe the targeted subject was injured and he has not contacted the police department.

Witnesses, who are not being identified, observed the crime and provided the department with accurate and reliable vehicle descriptions. A vehicle has been located and towed, it is held in evidence at the Town of Madison Police Department secure storage area.

The department is actively tracking leads as to the identity of the occupants of the vehicle, who was shooting the handgun and the location of the handgun.
