Suspect Description:

 

The suspect is described as a male/black, 25-30 years of age, 6’0” tall and 150-180 lbs.  He was wearing a thigh length black coat, black pants, black stocking cap, white tennis shoes, and a black bandana covering his face.  The suspect displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun and was last seen on foot running south on Rimrock Road.

Details of Incident:

 

On May 25, 2006 at 12:45 am officers were dispatched to the Open Pantry, 2504 Rimrock Road for an armed robbery.  The clerk advised police the suspect, described above, entered the store and demanded money and swore a number of times at the clerk.  The suspect also showed the clerk a silver colored semi-automatic handgun.  An undisclosed amount of money was given to the suspect who then fled south on Rimrock Road.

 

Officers from several jurisdictions assisted with setting up a perimeter and the Town of Madison K-9 team tracked the suspect from the store to a parking lot behind 2713 Pheasant Ridge Trail.  It is believed the suspect entered a vehicle at this location and fled the area.
