                                                                        Previous Information

On 1-09-08 at 9:01PM. Town of Madison Police was dispatched to the 200 block of Deer Valley Rd. to a report of a man shot.  Responding officers located a 31-year-old male who had been shot in the chest.

Investigation revealed that an argument had occurred in the parking lot behind 207 Deer Valley Rd. during which time the suspect pulled out a pistol and shot the victim and then fled the scene in a black colored vehicle.

Town of Madison EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he is being treated and is currently in stable condition.

The suspect arrived at 207 Deer Valley Road in a vehicle driven by a juvenile female; these two met another female and male juvenile.  The male juvenile became involved in a verbal argument with another male juvenile in the parking lot at this location.  The adult suspect, who was with the three juveniles, exited the vehicle they arrived in and joined the two male juveniles who were arguing.  The shooting victim then joined the two male juveniles and the suspect in the argument.

The two male juveniles then stopped arguing and left the two adults males who were now arguing.  During the time the suspect and victim were arguing the suspect brandished a large caliber handgun and shot the victim in the chest.

The three juveniles (two females, one juvenile male) and the suspect left the scene.  The department has interviewed numerous witnesses in this case.  We are unable to release suspect information at this time to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
